Arson
On Tuesday March 14th 2023 just before 1:00 AM, St. Thomas Police were contacted by the St. Thomas Fire Department to investigate a fire they had reason to believe was Arson. St. Thomas Police attended a housing complex on the south side of the city to assist. STPS remain on scene and are continuing their investigation. ST23004064
Vehicle Entries
On Monday March 13th 2023 St. Thomas Police were called to a residence in a south side neighbourhood of the city to investigate a vehicle entry. Reported stolen were the owner’s Driver’s License and prescription glasses. ST23004002
On Monday March 13th 2023 St. Thomas Police were again called to the same area of the city to investigate a vehicle entry. The vehicle was rummaged through with nothing reported stolen. ST23004046

Theft
On Monday March 13th 2023 St. Thomas Police were called to a retail store to investigate a theft. Through investigation, 51 year old Chadwick McEvoy is charged with 1 count of Theft under $5,000 after store employees observed him leaving the store with several items, making no attempt to pay. A warrant has been requested for his arrest. ST23004018
Break and Enter
On Monday March 13th 2023 St. Thomas Police were called to a business in the 300 block of Talbot Street to investigate a break and enter. Through investigation it was learned the rear door of the building had been pried open. A garbage room had been rummaged through with nothing reported stolen. ST23004042
On Tuesday March 14th 2023 at approximately 6:00 AM, St. Thomas Police were called to a motel on Sunset Drive to investigate a break and enter. Through investigation it was learned that 2 people tried to gain access to a room, causing damage to the door and window. Multiple tools were recovered.
