Multiple Vehicle Entries Reported
St. Thomas police received multiple reports early Saturday morning of theft from vehicles around the city. In all cases the vehicles were reported to have been left unlocked by their owners. Loose change and cash were the targets of all that were reported to police. Once again, police are reminding the public to ensure vehicles are locked and valuables are placed out of sight in vehicles. ST24001265, ST24001266 & ST24001276
Impaired Driving Investigation
Shortly after 8pm on Saturday evening, police received reports of a vehicle parked on a boulevard after what appeared to have been a minor crash. Officers arrived on scene to find a female driver in the vehicle. The female was arrested by officers at the scene for impaired operation of a conveyance, when they found that she appeared to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage. Due to medical concerns the female was taken to hospital where she provided samples of blood. The female was subsequently charged with one count of Impaired Operation and was released from custody with a future court date. The samples of Blood will be sent to the center of forensic science for analysis and further investigation. ST24001295
Warrant Arrest
A 33 year old St. Thomas man has been arrested on the strength of an outstanding warrant. Early Sunday morning officers observed the male in the city’s core and confirmed the male had a warrant. Officers confirmed the existence of a probation warrant and as such arrested the man. After being processed the man was released from custody with a future court date. ST24001304
