Theft

St. Thomas Police were called to a downtown business for a theft. A suspect was observed by staff, paying for 1 item, but had a bag full of items that were not paid for. Video is being reviewed and the incident is still under investigation. ST25007403

Fraud

A 66-year-old St. Thomas resident is out 6000$ after falling victim to an AI investment scam. The victim was convinced by the scammer to e-transfer funds, with the promise it would be invested. It all started when the victim opened an email, and was immediately contacted by the scammer. Police are still waiting for relevant documentation to continue with the investigation. ST25007434

Bail Violations

A 32-year-old St. Thomas resident is wanted, after Police were conducting a bail compliance check. The individual was placed on a release order by the court on May 2, 2025. The order had a number of conditions that the individual was not abiding by. The individual’s whereabouts is unknown, and there is a warrant for their arrest. ST25007448

Possession of Stolen Property

A 36-year-old St. Thomas resident was located and arrested after a report of a theft. Police were called to a downtown business to review video. The individual was positively identified, and located shortly after. Upon locating the individual, they were found to be in possession of a bike that had also been reported stolen.  The bike was returned to the owner. Intimate Partner Violence

St. Thomas Police were called to a residence, just south of downtown for a domestic incident. Upon arrival the complainant reported a verbal dispute that escalated and became physical. On that information, a 28-year-old St. Thomas resident was arrested for spousal assault, transported to Police Headquarters for processing, and released on conditions, with a future court date. Sexual Assault/Interference

St. Thomas Police attend a residence on the city’s south side, for a 911 call.  The complainant heard a plea for help, and found an individual, known to the complainant, in a room with a minor without consent. The individual fled on foot. Police set a perimeter, and the K9 unit was called in for a track. The K9 unit was successful, and the 31-year-old St. Thomas resident was arrested for sexual assault and sexual interference. The individual was transported to Police Headquarters for processing, and held for a court appearance. ST25007486
