STPS Media Release – Saturday, October 19th.

A 34-year-old St. Thomas resident was arrested on an outstanding arrest warrant while at the Elgin County Courthouse. This individual was held at the courthouse for a court appearance. Ref#ST24018849

A 49-year-old St. Thomas resident turned themself in at the St. Thomas Police station due to an outstanding arrest warrant. This individual was taken into custody and held for a court appearance. Ref#ST24018853

Reasonable and probable grounds exist for the arrest of a 39-year-old St. Thomas resident for punching a window at a downtown restaurant causing damage. This individual was creating a disturbance inside the restaurant, and when asked to leave by staff, the individual punched a window causing a crack. Ref#ST24018860

St. Thomas Police officers attended the area of Laura Avenue regarding theft from vehicles overnight. A suspect attended the area and was checking door handles of vehicles parked in the area. Numerous vehicles were checked and the investigation revealed that an Apple Ipod was stolen from an unlocked vehicle. This remains under investigation. Ref#ST24018863

A bicycle was stolen from Arthur Voaden Secondary School. The bike is described as a red and black road bike. Suspects cut the fence at the school where the bike had been locked. This remains under investigation. Ref#ST24018871

Two bicycles were stolen from a residence at the northwest section of the city. The bikes are described as a black Supercycle CHAOS with white handlebars and front forks and the other is a blue GT bmx style with GTC writing on the seat. The bicycles had been locked up to a shed but the locks were found cut. See attached image of one of the bicycles. Ref#ST24018907

St. Thomas Police officers attended a retail store at the 1063 Talbot Street business park regarding a theft of shoes. Two individuals believed to be male and female entered the store and stole a pair of red, white and black converse shoes out of the box, left the store and fled in a silver vehicle.
