The Ottawa Police Service arrested a former St. Thomas resident on the strength of a St. Thomas Police warrant. This person was later released with a future court date by Ottawa Police. Ref#ST24004143
The St. Thomas Police arrested a 38-year-old St. Thomas resident on the strength of a St. Thomas Police arrest warrant. This individual was taken to EGH for personal health reasons and later released with a future court date. Ref#ST24004146
The St. Thomas Police are investigating a theft of a package from the front porch of a residence at the north west area of the city. Video of the incident is still being sought by police for identification of the suspect. Ref#ST24004158
Three children’s scooters were stolen off of the front porch of a residence on Balaclava Street. The scooters can be seen on the attached photo. The St. Thomas Police are investigating a theft that occurred at two retail stores at the 1063 Talbot Street business park. The same individual entered two retail stores and exited the stores with just under $100 worth of items unpaid for. See attached image of suspect. Ref#ST24004163 & ST24004164

In an ongoing effort to help protect the residents of St. Thomas from falling victim to online scams and fraud, the St. Thomas Police Service would like to remind the community on ways to protect yourself and things to consider while online:
- Always get a second opinion from family or friends regarding the situation
- No employer will reach out to you through apps like Whats App or Telegram
- No employer will ever pay you in crypto currency
- No employer will ask you to invest your own money
- Use the Canadian Anti- Fraud Centre as a resource to familiarize yourself with current scams and additional ways to protect yourself.
