Fraud/Breach of Probation

On Friday members of the Criminal Investigations Branch Arrested and charged a 49 year old woman from St. Thomas with Fraud and Breach of Probation.  The charges stem from an investigation that started in May.  The woman was released from custody with a court date and conditions to abide by while awaiting that date.  ST26015594 

Warrant Arrest

A 38 year old St. Thomas man, wanted on a first instance warrant, was arrested at 45 Caso Crossing yesterday.  The warrant encompassed numerous charges.  The man was held for court and later released by the courts.  ST26015626 

Shoplifter Arrested

A 33 year old St. Thomas was arrested Friday after allegedly stealing Beer from a local retail store.  The Beer was recovered and the male was arrested, charged and released with a court date and conditions to abide by while awaiting that date.  ST26015626 

Warrant Arrest

A 39 year old St. Thomas man has been arrested following an investigation into possession of stolen property and theft.  The male was held for Weekend and Statutory Holiday Court, where he appeared by video.  He was later released from custody with a court date and conditions.  ST26015633

Warrant Sought

A 38 year old St. Thomas woman is wanted after failing to report to the John Howard Society.  Reporting to the society is a condition of release from custody that charged persons must fulfill upon release.  Failing to do so has resulted in a warrant for arrest being sought.  The female remains at large.  ST26015642

Impaired/Drug Charges

A citizen with concerns about a couple in the parking lot of 1063 Talbot Street, contacted police on Friday night.  The couple was said to be ‘passed out’ inside the running vehicle.  When officers arrived they found suspected drugs and paraphernalia within plain view.  A 35 year old St. Thomas woman was arrested and charged with Possession of a controlled substance under the Controlled Drug and Substances Act.  The 46 year old male driver of the car was arrested for Impaired Operation, suspected to be under the influence of drugs.  Once evaluated by a Drug Recognition Expert suspicions were confirmed and he was charged with Impaired Operation by Drug.  A search of the vehicle incident to arrest yielded a quantity of suspected Fentanyl and Crack/Cocaine.  The male was further charged with Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Narcotics.  The female was released with a future court date, the male was held for Weekend and Statutory Holiday court and later released by the courts.  ST26015649 

Family Dispute results in Charges

A 48 year old St. Thomas man has been arrested and charge with Assault, following a family dispute.  The incident occurred in the city’s south end late Friday night and by the time officers arrived the male had left the residence.  The investigation revealed the male had allegedly assaulted 2 parties known to him in the residence.  When officers located the male, he was in his vehicle and had consumed an unknown amount of alcohol.  A Roadside Screening device was administered and the male ‘alerted’, causing a 7 day driver’s license suspension.  As a result of the assault allegations the male was brought to the station, charged and later released with a future court date and conditions to abide by.   ST26015668/71
