STPS media release for August 29th 2023

Vehicle entries/mischiefs

On August 28th 2023, a resident on the west end of town called Police to report that their vehicle had been entered sometime overnight. Unknown suspect(s) had smashed a window of the vehicle and took a wallet inside. The matter is under investigation and camera footage is being reviewed. ST23015278

Another resident on the west side of the city called to report their vehicle had also been entered after a suspect again smashed a window to gain entry and took items from inside. ST23015286

A friendly reminder to not only keep your vehicles locked but to also keep valuables out of sight or inside your home.

 

Recovered stolen motorcycle

A yellow Yamaha motorcycle previously reported stolen to STPS on the August 26th has been recovered. The motorcycle was located outside of the city by OPP and returned. STPS Officers continue to investigate the incident to identify the suspects involved. Warrant arrest

A 42 yr old St. Thomas man was arrested by the London Police Service on an outstanding warrant. The male was transported to STPS headquarters where he was processed, held and later released by court. ST23015297

 

Mischief

On August 28th 2023, an employee from a storage facility in the north end called to report noticing damage to the compound fence surrounding the facility. Nothing was reported missing and the facility building itself was not entered. ST23015305
