Road Safety Week ran from the May 18th – 24th, 2023
The annual awareness campaign was designed to increase public compliance with safe driving measures in order to save lives and reduce injuries on Canada’s roadways.
Police services across Ontario focused on behaviours that put drivers, passengers, cyclists, pedestrians, and other vulnerable road users at risk: impaired driving, distracted driving, aggressive driving, and not wearing a seatbelt.
As a result of our road safety week project, 29 charges were laid. (ST23008403)
