Ongoing investigation leads to arrest

St. Thomas ON (Friday June 9th, 2023)

An ongoing investigation into a string of thefts in the city this week, has led to the arrest of two St. Thomas residents.

Through investigation, the St. Thomas Police Service Property Crime Unit were able to identify and charge 55 year old Ronald Hodgson of St. Thomas with Theft under $5,000, Trespassing at Night, Fail to Comply with Probation Order and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime. Hodgson was arrested and transported to police headquarters where he was processed and released on an undertaking.

30 year old Donald Pettit has been charged with Theft under $5,000, Trespassing at Night, Fail to Comply with Probation Order and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime. He was additionally charged with Possession of a Scheduled 1 Substance – Opioid. Pettit was arrested and transported to police headquarters where he was processed and released  by the Courts with conditions to be subjected to GPS monitoring.
