**NO THREAT TO PUBLIC SAFETY**

BOMB THREAT

On Monday October 02, 2023, at approximately 1 p.m., members of the St. Thomas Police Service were notified of a bomb threat received via telephone referencing a school in the south end of the city.

Officers attended the school and conducted a preliminary check of the building which had not revealed anything suspicious at the time. A thorough search of both the inside and outside of the building has been completed by members of the STPS assisted by school staff. Nothing suspicious was located. At no time was there believed to be a credible threat to the safety of students or staff of the school.

The investigation into the source of the threat is ongoing. More information will be provided when available.
