Motor Vehicle Theft & Recovery
St. Thomas Police attended a local Service Centre, for a report of a stolen vehicle. The motor vehicle was there for service when an unknown suspect drove away with it, squealing the tires. While on scene, Police were notified that the vehicle had been recovered after being abandoned west of the city. Keys and license plates are still outstanding. The incident is still under investigation. ST24018261.
Trespassing
St. Thomas Police attended a call for service on CN property. CN Police requested assistance in removing a 43-year-old St. Thomas resident from the property. Upon arrival, staff reported to police, that the train was stopped, as the individual was on one of the train cars. Police located and charged the individual with Section 26.1 of the Railway Safety Act. ST24018244.
St. Thomas Police wish to remind everyone that Railways including the property surrounding them, are posted private property, and entering without permission could result in being fined 500$.
Break and Enter
St. Thomas Police are investigating a residential break and enter in the city’s south end. The victim reports leaving around noon, for an appointment, and upon arriving home, noticed tools and broken door parts on the floor inside the mud room. The homes deadbolt prevented further entry. The incident is still under investigation. ST24018284.
