Warrant Arrests
A 34 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Tuesday September 12th 2023, St. Thomas police were contacted by London police who had the individual in custody on the strength of our warrant. The individual had been charged with Operation while Impaired, Possession of a Controlled Substance – Opioid and Theft under $5,000 stemming from incidents in April 2023. STPS attended London to take custody of the 34 year old who was transported to STPS headquarters and processed on the charges. The individual was later released with conditions and a future a court date. ST23016247
A 37 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Tuesday September 12th 2023, the individual attended STPS headquarters to turn themselves in on an outstanding warrant for Use of Forged Documents after an incident reported to police in June 2023. The 37 year old was processed and released on an appearance notice. ST23016266
A 28 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Tuesday September 12th 2023, the individual attended STPS headquarters to turn themselves in on an outstanding warrant for Assault with a Weapon stemming from an incident earlier this week. The 28 year old was processed and released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST23016273
A 39 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Tuesday September 12th 2023, St. Thomas police were called to a local retail store in regard to an unwanted person, causing a disturbance. Upon arrival, police located the individual known to them to be wanted on an outstanding warrant for Personation with Intent dating back to an incident in August of 2020. The 39 year old was arrested and transported to police headquarters where they were processed and held for court. ST23016296
A 62 year old Oneida resident has been arrested. On Tuesday September 12th 2023, the individual attended STPS headquarters to turn themselves in on an outstanding warrant for Theft under $5,000 after being identified as the suspect in a shoplifting incident in August 2023. The individual was processed and release on an undertaking with a future court date. ST23016299
Assault
A 23 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Wednesday September 13th 2023, at approximately 12:40 a.m. officers on community patrol encountered an active altercation involving multiple parties. Those involved were separated and through investigation it was learned an incident between two parties, known to be in a relationship had occurred just prior to the altercation. Officers learned that an argument between the couple had turned physical. The victim was able to text for help and leave the residence.
As a result, a 23 year old St. Thomas resident has been charged with:
- One count Uttering Threats
- One count Forcible Confinement
- One count Assault
- One count Assault Cause Bodily Harm
The individual was arrested and transported to police headquarters where they were processed and held for court. ST23016303
