Theft
A tan car cover has been reported stolen. St. Thomas police were called to investigate the theft. It was reported that the vehicle was parked on Moore Street overnight on Friday June 2nd, 2023. The cover is valued at approximately $144. There was no damage reported. ST23009715
Break and Enter
Approximately $900 worth of tools have been reported stolen from a garage on Shaw Valley Drive. St. Thomas police were called to investigate the incident that occurred in the early morning hours of June 5th, 2023. Stolen was a Stihl leaf blower, a Milwaukee drill set and a Bosch nailer. St. Thomas police are reviewing video surveillance and continue to investigate. ST23009754
Approximately $450 has been reported stolen from a home on Churchill Crescent. At approximately 2:00 a.m. Wednesday June 7th, 2023 St. Thomas police were called to investigate after a home owner reports waking up to a noise and finding the back door of the residence open. Vehicle Entries
A GPS, phone holder and garage door opener have been reported stolen from a vehicle on Royal Dornoch Drive. Sometime in the overnight hours of Monday June 5th, 2023 the vehicle was entered and the items removed. No damage to the vehicle was reported. Police are continuing to investigate. ST23009755
A $2,000 laptop has been reported stolen from a vehicle on Wellington Street. St. Thomas police were called to investigate after the vehicle owner reports unloading items from their car to their residence between the 8:50 a.m. and 9:20 a.m. on Tuesday June 6th, 2023. The owner returned to their car to find it rummaged through and their property gone. Police are continuing to investigate. ST23009760
Arrested
A 30 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. St. Thomas police at the Elgin County Court House were dealing with individual on an unrelated matter when they became aware of an outstanding warrant for Theft under $5,000 from an incident in May of 2023, The 30 year old was processed and released on an appearance notice. Bike theft and recovery
A bike reported stolen from Malakoff Street has been recovered. Officers on community patrol located the bike last night. The owners of the have been contacted and are thankful for police assistance. ST23009801
