Warrant Arrest
A 53 year old St. Thomas man has been arrested. On Tuesday while dealing with the individual on an unrelated matter, officers at the Elgin County Courthouse were made aware of an outstanding warrant for arrest. The 53 year old had been charged with Assault with a Weapon, Uttering Threats and three counts Failure to Comply with Release Order stemming from an incident in March. He was processed to appear before the courts and was remanded into custody. ST26007567/3572
Sexual Assault
St. Thomas police are investigating the report of a sexual assault. On Tuesday, the victim contacted police to report the incident that had occurred between them and their partner. This remains under investigation. ST26007581

A bottle of liquor valued at $75 was reported stolen from a retail store on Talbot Street. ST26007571
$500 of general merchandise has been reported stolen from a retail store on Talbot Street. Police were contacted in regard to the theft that had occurred Tuesday evening. It was reported that an unknown male had failed to pay for two carts of merchandise and was last seen leaving the area in a Jeep. Video of the suspect and the vehicle they left in has been provided to police. ST26007618
