Impaired Operation
A 69 year old St. Thomas man has been arrested. On Monday evening, a concerned citizen called police to report a possible impaired driver. A description of the vehicle and its driver were provided to police. The vehicle was located and a traffic stop was initiated. While speaking with the driver, officers were concerned he was showing signs of impairment and took him into custody. Transported to police headquarters for testing, it was found that the accused was impaired by alcohol providing samples of 90mg/100ml. Charged with Operation while Impaired Plus 80, he was processed and later released with a future court date. ST26007535
Threats
A 60 year old St. Thomas man has been arrested after police were called to a disturbance on the northside of the city last night. Through investigation officers learned the accused had threatened to harm neighbours in the area. It was reported the man had been yelling and threatening to physically assault people. As a result, the 60 year old was charged with Uttering Threats to CauseĀ Bodily Harm and transported to police headquarters. Once processed, he was held to attend court. ST26007548
Failure to Comply
An 81 year old St. Thomas man has been arrested. On Monday, the individual attended police headquarters to turn himself in on an outstanding warrant. Charged with Failure to Comply with Release Order and Failure to Comply with Probation he was processed and released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST26007489
A 31 year old St. Thomas man has been arrested. On Monday, officers were called to a west end address to investigate the report of the accused communicating with an individual he is currently on conditions to not associate with. Officers located the 31 year old who was charged with two counts Failure to Comply with Release Order. He was transported to police headquarters, processed to attend court and subsequently released by the courts. ST26007501
Theft Investigations
STPS are investigating several incidents of theft over the last 24 hours.
- Ice cream and chocolate milk were reported stolen from a grocery store on Talbot Street, Monday morning. ST26007497
- Several packages have been reported stolen from an apartment building on Talbot Street. ST26007519
- A personal cheque has been reported stolen. The intended recipient contacted police after confirming the cheque had been mailed and cashed by an unknown person. ST26007525
- A pair of sunglasses were reported stolen from a retail store on Talbot Street, Monday evening. ST26007526
