Mischief
A 25 year old St. Thomas resident has been charged. On Wednesday December 21st 2023, officers were called to an address on the north side of the city to investigate the report of an altercation between two individuals known to each other. Through investigation police learned an argument between the two had escalated resulting in damage to the home. The 25 year old had left the area prior to police arrival. As a result, the individual has been charge with one count Mischief. A warrant for arrest has been requested. ST23022265
Warrant arrest
A 38 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Wednesday December 21st 2023, officers on community patrol located the individual known to them to be wanted on an outstanding probation warrant. The individual was processed and released with a future court date. ST23022298
Traffic stop leads to charges
A 28 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. Thanks to an alert employee of a downtown restaurant, St. Thomas police were notified of a possible impaired driver. Officers were able to locate the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. Through investigation, police determined the driver to be impaired by alcohol. A roadside screening device was administer with the driver registering a fail, however upon processing the individual refused to provide police with an adequate breath sample. As a result, the 28 year old has been charged with one count Refusal to Comply with Demand, one count Fail to Stop for Police and several offences under the Highway Traffic Act.
