Break and enter
St. Thomas police are currently investigating a break and enter that occurred at a business in the industrial area of the city. On Sunday April 28th 2024, STPS received a call in regard to damage to the front door of a business. Upon arrival, the door was found to be smashed and entry made. Through investigation, officers learned the incident occurred sometime after 11:00 p.m. on Saturday. Approximately $5,000 in electrical materials and tools have been stolen. Police are reviewing video surveillance of the incident as they continue to investigate. ST24006731
Assault
A 33 year old Port Stanley resident has been arrested. On Sunday April 28th 2024, officers were called by an individual wishing to report that had been assaulted. Through investigation, police learned the victim had been punched by an individual known to them. The 33 year old accused later attended police headquarters where they were charged with one count of Assault. The individual was processed and released on an undertaking with a future court date.
