Impaired Operation
A 26 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. Just after 2:00 a.m. on Friday January 26th 2024, St. Thomas police responded to the report of a vehicle striking a house. Upon arrival, officers located the driver of the vehicle showing visible signs of impairment. Through investigation, it was determined the driver was impaired by alcohol and was arrested. The 26 year old was transported to police headquarters where breath samples confirmed them to be impaired by alcohol. As a result, the individual has been charged with Operation while Impaired, Operation while Impaired – 80 plus, Operate vehicle – No insurance and Drive vehicle with cannabis readily available. The 26 year old St. Thomas resident has been processed on the charges and held until sober. No injuries were reported as a result of the collision. ST24001196
Warrant arrest
A 48 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Thursday January 25th 2024, officers on community patrol located the individual know to them to be wanted on an outstanding warrant with our service for Failure to Comply with Probation, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and Personation with Intent stemming from an incident in April of 2023. The 48 year old was transported to police headquarters where they were processed and held for a morning court appearance. ST24001172
