Warrant Arrests
On Friday morning uniform patrol officers located a 31-year-old St. Thomas man known to be wanted on the strength of a first instance warrant. Police took the male into custody without incident. The male is charged with Theft Under $5000, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000, and Fail to Comply with Probation x 2 in relation to two separate incidents. The male was transported to police headquarters where he was processed and later released on an Undertaking with a future court date. ^ST24013429
Later on, Friday morning, police attended a local park for reports of an unauthorized encampment. Police attended and located a 40-year-old female who was wanted on the strength of an unendorsed bench warrant as well as a first instance warrant, both in relation to charges for failing to comply with her probation. The female was arrested without incident and transported to the Elgin County Courthouse where she was later released by the Courts. ^ST240013438
On Friday evening, members of the Community Response Unit were in the downtown core when they came across a 29-year-old female, known to police. A query revealed the female was wanted on several warrants for property-crime charges in relation to 11 separate incidents. The female was taken into custody however due to medical reasons was transported to hospital where she was released unconditionally to receive medical care. The female remains wanted by police. ^ST24013472
