Christmas Day Domestics End in Charges
A 44 year old St. Thomas women has been charged following a call to a southside residence on Christmas day. Shortly after 11:00 on Monday morning officers attended the residence after reports of a domestic dispute. Once on scene officers found evidence that an assault had taken place. The female was arrested and charged with Assault. She was later released from custody with a future court date and conditions to abide by until that date. No serious injuries were observed or reported as a result of the dispute.
Monday Night officers responded to a residence in the city to reports of another domestic dispute occurring. Officers found there to be no significant disturbance occurring, however a 47 year old St. Thomas women was taken into custody on the strength of an outstanding Bench Warrant. The women was also in contravention of previous release conditions by being at the address. The women was arrested, charged and held for Weekend and Statutory Holiday Court appearance.
Police Investigating theft of E-Bike from local Retirement Complex
A staff member finishing their shift at a local retirement complex came to find that their e-bike had been stolen sometime between 3pm and 11pm on Christmas Day. Missing is a Red 48 Volt Aspire Taubik E-bike. The bike had been locked to a fence, and the lock cut. There are no suspects in this matter and no photo or video immediately available for dissemination.
