SHOPLIFT

Officers on Community Patrol attended Winners yesterday after staff report a shoplift that occurred April 12th.  A male and female entered the store and loaded up a shopping cart full of merchandise and left without making any attempt to pay.  Video surveillance was obtained and the investigation is continuing.  ST23006383.

THEFT OF BICYCLE

Officers on Community Patrol were alerted yesterday to a theft that had occurred at a local high school.  The bike had been locked up to the bike rack.  The lock was cut and the bike was stolen.  Police are reviewing video footage of the theft in attempts to identify the perpetrator.   The bike is an all silver Mongoose mountain bike, valued at $600.  ST23006380

MISCHIEF

Officers on Community Patrol attended a church on Elm Street yesterday after reports of mischief.  Sometime overnight of April 16th, suspects damaged their mailbox and window screens.  No entry was made into the church.   ST23006359.

WARRANT

A 30 year old St. Thomas man attended the Police Station yesterday morning to turn himself in on an outstanding warrant.  The warrant stems from an assault that occurred at a Princess Avenue address on April 1st.  The man was arrested without incident and charged with Assault causing bodily harm and Fail to comply with his Probation Order.  He was held for a court appearance where he was remanded into custody.

INTIMATE PARTNER VIOLENCE

Yesterday afternoon Officers on Community Patrol attended an address in the cities south end after a complaint of assault.  As a result a 77 year old St. Thomas man was arrested without incident and transported to the Colin McGregor Building for processing.  He was charged with Assault – spousal and Uttering threats to cause bodily harm or death – spousal.  He was later released with a future court date.

FAIL TO COMPLY

Officers on Community patrol were called to the area of Talbot Street and Moore Street yesterday afternoon after learning that two individuals were communicating with each other where both  had court imposed conditions not to communicate with each other.  The 34 year old St. Thomas man was arrested on the scene without incident while the female fled.  The male was transported to the Colin McGregor Building for processing.  He was charged with Fail to Comply with his Undertaking and Fail to Comply with his Release Order x 2.  He was held for court and remanded into custody.   The 28 year old St. Thomas woman is charged with Failing to Comply with her Probation Order x 2.  A warrant has been issued for her arrest.
