Andrew M. Bennett Scholarship Award – 2026 Recipient Announced

St. Thomas, ON Thursday June 25th 2026

The St. Thomas Police Service, St. Thomas Police Services Board and St. Thomas Police Association are pleased to announce that Faith Sullivan, a Grade 12 student at Central Elgin Collegiate Institute, has been named the 2026 recipient of the Andrew M. Bennett Scholarship.

Faith will begin her post-secondary studies this fall at the University of Guelph-Humber, where she will study Justice Studies and Police Foundations as she works toward a career in policing.

The scholarship was established to support students pursuing careers in policing, public safety and community service.

In her essay submission, Faith wrote that she wants to become a police officer because she believes “the safety, wellbeing, and security of everyone in a community is of the utmost importance.” She also shared that she intends to make kindness “the foundation of my actions.”

This year’s scholarship award totals $1,500, made possible through contributions from a private donor, the St. Thomas Police Services Board and the St. Thomas Police Association.

Faith was recognized as the 2026 recipient during the June 24, 2026 St. Thomas Police Services Board meeting.

Congratulations, Faith, and best wishes in your post-secondary studies and future career.
