Damage Caused to Police Property
A 37 year old St. Thomas woman has been arrested following an incident at police headquarters Thursday morning. Just after 10 a.m., the woman attended the police station carrying a bag containing several items. CCTV on the property showed her removing two hammers from the bag and throwing them over the fence to hit a cruiser. The woman left the area on foot. She was located nearby by responding officers. Once informed of her grounds for her arrest, the 37 year old pushed an officer and grabbed their vest. Charged with Mischief under $5,000 and Resist Peace Officer, she was processed and released on an undertaking with a future court date. Damage to the cruiser is estimated at $1,000. ST26015052
Mischief Investigation
Police are investigating the report of damage caused at the Joe Thornton Community Centre. On Thursday evening, it was reported that three unknown youth had spray painted several profanities inside the public washrooms. The youth were seen leaving the area on foot and were located by officers a short distance away. CCTV is available and being provided to police who continue to investigate. A 38 year old St. Thomas woman has been arrested. On Thursday, officers on community patrol located the individual known to them to be wanted by our service on an outstanding warrant for Assault stemming from an incident in February. A 44 year old St. Thomas man has been arrested. On Thursday, officers on community patrol located the individual known to them to be wanted by our service on an outstanding warrant for Impaired Operation, Identity Theft and Possession of Forged Documents stemming from a traffic stop in April. Theft Investigations
A motorcycle cover, valued at $500 has been reported stolen from an address on Confederation Drive. On Thursday officers were called to investigate the theft that occurred overnight. ST26015041
A 32 year old London woman has been charged following a shoplifting investigation. On July 20th, officers were called to a retail store on Talbot Street for the report of an unknown woman failing to pay for over $400 of merchandise. CCTV was provided to police who identified the suspect at the 32 year old woman. Charged with Theft under $5,000, a warrant for her arrest has been requested. ST26015042/13838
Copper wire has been reported stolen from the exterior light posts of an address on Talbot Street. On Thursday, the property manager of the address contacted police to report the exterior lighting had been damaged and the copper wire had been stripped. CCTV in the area is being reviewed. ST26015058
A 14 year old St. Thomas resident has been charged with Theft under $5,000 after police were called to an address on Ross Street, Thursday night. It was reported that the accused had stolen property from a tenant at the address. The 14 year old was transported to police headquarters, processed and released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST26015065
Vehicle Entry
A vehicle parked at an address on Forest Avenue was reported entered. The vehicle owner contacted police to report at some point in the overnight hours of August 3rd, the vehicle had been entered and the key to a second vehicle was stolen. ST26015018
