Vehicle Entries:
On Saturday, the 25th of July, we received a report of a vehicle entry north of the downtown core. A backpack was stolen and $800 worth of items were reported stolen as a result. A 30 year old male was located in the area of Princess Avenue in possession of the stolen backpack and the reportedly stolen items. The male was released with a future court date. ST26014169
On Saturday, the 25th of July, Police were contacted with a report of a vehicle entry in the area of Rice Road, in the east end of the city. The complainant reported that $100 cash and bank cards were stolen from inside of the vehicle. Of the cards stolen, (3) purchases were made at local businesses prior to being cancelled. Shoplift:
On Saturday, the 25th of July, a downtown business reported a male had left the store without paying for items. Video was reviewed and a 40 year old male was identified. The store owner was not seeking charges but the male was located and verbally trespassed from the store. ST26014189
On Saturday, the 25th of July, Police attended a Retail Store for a report of a Theft after the fact. Staff from the store wished to report to Police that an unknown male had attended the store and concealed approximately $400 worth of Hair Styling items, leaving the store making no attempts to pay for them. The male was seen leaving the area south on a bicycle. This matter is under investigation. ST26014227
Assault:
On Saturday, the 25th of July, Staff from a local homeless shelter contacted Police to report that an assault had occurred involving (2) male parties on their property. One male repeatedly struck the second male, ultimately fleeing from the area prior to Police arrival. The male suspect was located a short distance away and was taken into Police custody. The male was released with a future court date. ST26014201
On Saturday, the 25th of July, Police responded to a call for service at an address north of the downtown core for a report of (2) males engaged in a physical altercation. As a result of Police investigation, a 62 year old male was arrested for assault and ultimately released with a future court date. ST26014222
Warrant Arrest:
A 31 year old female was located south of the downtown core and was arrested on multiple existing warrants. The female was arrested and was held for court.
