Impaired Operation
A 31 year old London man has been charged with Impaired Operation after police responded to a restaurant drive-thru Sunday morning.
On July 26th at approximately 6:15 a.m., police were called after an individual was observed asleep behind the wheel of a pickup truck. The vehicle was parked in the drive-thru with the engine running and had reportedly been there for approximately 30 minutes.
Officers attended and arrested the driver. At police headquarters, the individual provided two breath samples that registered 110 milligrams of alcohol per 100 millilitres of blood.
During the investigation, officers also located brass knuckles.
As a result, the 31 year old was charged with:
- Operation While Impaired
- Operation While Impaired, Blood Alcohol Concentration 80 Plus
- Possession of a Prohibited Weapon

Assault
A 37 year old St. Thomas man is wanted by police following an assault downtown on Sunday. On July 26th, police responded after a man was assaulted by an individual known to him. Through investigation, officers learned the accused approached the victim and kicked him before striking him several times. During the incident, the victim’s cell phone fell from his pocket. The accused took the phone before leaving the area. Officers spoke with the victim and a witness and reviewed surveillance footage that captured the incident.
As a result, the 37 year old has been charged with:
- Assault
- Theft Under $5,000

Theft Investigations
Police are investigating three separate thefts reported on Sunday:
- An unknown man left a Talbot Street retail store with approximately $250 of baby clothing without making any attempt to pay. The suspect is described as a man between 50 and 60 years old with dirty blonde hair, tanned skin and freckles. He was wearing a black shirt and dark jean shorts. ST26014294
- An unknown man and woman stole multiple items from an Edward Street business. Two fragrances valued at $113 have been confirmed stolen. Video is available and being provided to police. ST26014305
- A purse, rings, a work uniform and a debit card were stolen from a vehicle on Elgin Street. The stolen property is valued at approximately $800. ST26014319
Failure to Comply
A 52 year old St. Thomas man has been arrested. Early Sunday morning, officers on community patrol located the man with an individual he is prohibited from contacting. The 52 year old was arrested and charged with two counts of Failure to Comply with a Probation Order, transported to police headquarters and held for court. ST26014248
