Media release 8th of February 2026

Break and Enter:

On Saturday the 7th of February 2026 we were called to an office building downtown for reports of a break and enter. On arrival it was learned that several offices were broken into inside the building overnight Friday after suspects gained entry through an insecure outer door. We are canvassing the area for video. Warrant Arrest:

A forty-two-year-old male and a forty-two-year-old female were both arrested on warrants as co-accused in a shoplifting investigation (ST25001295). The two St Thomas residents were arrested and later released on undertakings with conditions. Incident ST26001295.

Counterfeit Money:

A west end business reported receiving two counterfeit bills, a $100 bill and a $50.00 bill, sometime on the 6th of February 2026. There is a photo below of a female suspect that had used the $50.00 bill and video is being sought of the party that used the $100.00 bill. Flight from police:

On Saturday night an officer on general patrol attempted to stop a cyclist for several highway traffic act offences. The male party initially stopped and provided a false name to the officer before fleeing into a wooded area. A Canine officer and K9 Nitehawk were working and were able to track the male to where he was hiding. A 37-year-old St Thomas male was arrested and charged with obstruct peace officer as well as several highway traffic act offences before being released with a future court date. Incident ST26002170.

Warrant Arrest:

On Saturday night we were notified by the London Police Service that they had arrested a 39-year-old female on an unendorsed bench warrant held by our service for impaired driving (ST25018524). We attended the London Police Service headquarters and continued the arrest of the female party – who was transported to cells and held for weekend video court. Incident ST26002173
