Break and Enter Investigation

Approximately $10,000 of tools and property have been reported stolen from an address on Myrtle Street. On Wednesday morning, police were called to investigate the incident that occurred at some point in the overnight hours. It was reported that a detached garage had been entered and a quantity of power tools, copper wire and additional property had been stolen. Entry to the garage appeared to be made through the bay door, which had been damaged. This remains under investigation. ST25021982

Vehicle Entry 

A truck parked at an address on Myrtle Street has been reported damaged and entered. On Wednesday morning, police were called to investigate the incident that occurred overnight. The owner of the vehicle contacted police after noticing damage and the interior to have been rummaged through. Reported stolen is a several DeWalt power tools, sports equipment and the owners wallet with several pieces of identification. CCTV in the area has been provided to police. This remains under investigation. ST25021983

Warrant Arrest

A 33 year old St. Thomas man has been arrested. On Wednesday, we were notified by the Aylmer Police Service that they had the individual in custody on the strength of our outstanding warrant. The 33 year old had been charged with Theft under $5,000 and Failure to Comply with Probation in November. APS transported the accused to STPS HQ where he was processed and later released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST25022006

Theft

A 35 year old St. Thomas man has been arrested after police were called to a shoplifting incident on Wednesday. Just after 9:30 a.m. police were called in regards to an unknown male who had left a grocery store on Talbot Street without paying for his items. A description was provided to attending officers who located the suspect a short distance away. He was charged with one count of Theft under $5,000, processed and released on an appearance notice. Several frozen grocery items have been reported stolen from a grocery store on Talbot Street. On Wednesday, officers were called to the store to investigate the report of an unknown female failing to pay for her items. Video is available and being provided to police. ST25022005

General merchandise has been reported stolen from a downtown retail store. On Wednesday, officers were called to the store to investigate the report of an unknown male failing to pay for his items. Video is available and being provided to police. ST25022001

Approximately $80 of groceries has been reported stolen from a retail store on Talbot Street. On Wednesday evening, officers were called to the store to investigate the report of an unknown male failing to pay for his items. Video is available and being provided to police. ST25022025
