St. Thomas-Elgin RIDE Campaign Kick-Off
The St. Thomas Police Service, in partnership with the Aylmer Police Service have officially launched the 2025 RIDE campaign. This annual initiative focuses on reducing impaired driving and keeping roadways safe throughout the holiday season.
The RIDE campaign, which runs throughout the winter holidays, involves targeted checkpoints and enforcement efforts to deter drivers from operating vehicles under the influence of alcohol or drugs. By working together, the police services aim to prevent serious injury and save lives in the St. Thomas-Elgin region.
The holiday season is a time for celebration, but it can also be a dangerous period on our roads. By remaining vigilant and making responsible choices, we can all help ensure everyone gets home safe.
Members of the public are reminded to plan ahead to avoid impaired driving and report any suspicious or unsafe driving to police.
