Assault with a Weapon
A 42 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested following an assault investigation. Just after 5:00 a.m. on Wednesday morning while on an unrelated call for service, officers were made aware of an assault that had occurred. CCTV of the incident was captured and provided to police. Through investigation, the individual, who had left the area prior to police arrival was identified and charged with Assault with a Weapon.
At 10:15 p.m., the 42 year old was located and transported to police headquarters. A search incident to arrest found the individual to be in possession of a flick knife, a folding knife and a quantity of suspected Fentanyl, Methamphetamine and Hydromorphone.
The individual was additionally charged with:
- Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order
- Breach of Recognizance
- Three counts of Possession of a Schedule I Substance

Assault
A 32 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Wednesday, we attended an address downtown to investigate the report of an altercation in progress. Upon arrival, officers located the parties involved and learned the accused had physically assaulted the victim. The 32 year old was charged with one count of Assault and transported to police headquarters. While being processed, officers were made aware of an outstanding warrant for Possession of a Weapon and Causing a Disturbance stemming from an incident in January. The individual was processed on all charges and later released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST25018451/8452
Warrant Arrest
A 32 year old London resident has been arrested. On Wednesday, the London Police Service called to report they had the individual in custody on the strength of our warrant for Failure to Comply with Release Order following an investigation into unwanted communication. Officers attended London and took custody of the individual who was transported to police headquarters, processed and held for a morning court appearance. ST25018493/17230
Breach of Probation
A 38 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Wednesday, police learned the individual had failed to attend their court ordered probation program. As a result, the 38 year old has been charged with Failure to Comply with Release Order. A warrant for arrest has been requested. ST2501849
Fraud
St. Thomas police are currently investigating the report of a credit card fraud. On Wednesday, a local resident attended police headquarters to to report that their bank notified them of a credit card, with a balance of over $20,000 had been opened in their name. This remains under investigation. ST25018487
Vehicle Entry
A 38 year old St. Thomas resident has been charged with Possession of Property Obtain by Crime, Theft Under $5,000 and Fail to Comply with Probation after being identified as the person responsible in a vehicle entry investigation. On Wednesday, police were called to investigate the report of a vehicle parked on Pearl Street being entered and several items, including a wallet being stolen. Through further investigation officers learned the debit card in the wallet had been used at various locations. CCTV from those locations was available to police who identified the person as the 38 year old St. Thomas resident. A warrant for arrest has been requested. ST25018475
Mischief
A vehicle parked at an address on Elm Street has been reported damaged. On Wednesday, police were called to the area to investigate the report the vehicle being keyed. Through investigation officers learned the vehicle had been in a parking lot with the damage occurring sometime after 9:15 a.m. This remains under investigation. ST25018478
Theft
A red, Norco bike valued at $200 has been reported stolen from an address on Fairview Road. The owner of the bike reports it was stolen from the address at some point in the overnight hours. ST25018471
Numerous grocery items have been reported stolen from a retail store on Talbot Street. On Wednesday afternoon, officer attended the area for the report of a theft in progress. Upon arrival, officers learned an unknown individual left the area without paying for their items. Loss prevention staff approached the individual who returned some of the merchandise but had left prior to police arrival. This remains under investigation. ST25018481
