Impaired Driver
A 56yr old St. Thomas man has been charged with Operating his vehicle in excess of 80mgs of alcohol in 100mL of blood, following a collision Friday morning. The man contacted police after colliding with a parked car, during the interaction it was suspected that the male had been previously consuming an alcoholic beverage. After providing a roadside screening device, the man failed and was arrested and brought to the station. He provided further tests resulting in a readings over the legal limit. 2 Warrant Arrests
Officers on general patrol executed two separate Warrant Friday during their tours of duty. The first was the arrest of a 43yr old St. Thomas during a traffic stop. The man had been wanted as a result of an assault investigation previously reported. He would be released from custody on an Undertaking with conditions and future court date. The second arrest involved a 36yr old St. Thomas man wanted in connection with a theft investigation. He was held for court purposes, but later released by the courts. ST25016541/ST25016547
Theft of 2 Bicycles
2 Bicycles were reported stolen by residents on Friday, both from different areas of the city. The first, a Dark blue Giant mountain bike was taken from the area of Lions park in the city, the other a black and white Trek Marlin 5, was stolen from Manitoba Street. ST25016557/ST25016504
Vehicle Entered
A Talbot Street company’s work vehicle was entered sometime overnight between Thursday and Friday. Although only small items were taken from the vehicle. These incidents should stand as a reminder to ensure vehicles are locked and items of value remain out of sight. ST25016543
