Thefts
St. Thomas Police were called to a downtown location for a theft. The victim stopped to help an individual that had fallen on the sidewalk. During the interaction, the victim’s wallet fell out of a pocket. A suspect passing by picked it up without the victim noticing. Later the victim became aware of the missing wallet, and was alerted to purchases using their bank card. Video was reviewed and two St. Thomas residents were identified. As a result, a 31-year-old and 29-year-old are facing charges and currently wanted. ST25012482
St. Thomas Police attended a residential area on the south side of the city for a theft from a vehicle. The victim had left a vehicle unlocked that contained a bag of tools, at an estimated value of 400$. The incident is still under investigation. ST25012550
St. Thomas Police were called to a local grocery store for a theft. An unknown individual entered the store, filled a basket with groceries and left without paying. The incident is still under investigation, and video is being reviewed. ST25012562
A theft from a downtown grocery store was reported to Police, after an individual was observed leaving with 500$ worth of meat. Loss Prevention reported the suspect leaving on a bicycle, and provided a description. The incident was captured on video. As a result of the investigation, a 29-year-old St. Thomas resident is charged and currently wanted for theft under 5000$. ST25012583
A local business phoned Police to report finding merchandise belonging to another store. The complainant reported that it appeared clothing with tags still attached, were stashed by the retailer’s garbage dumpster. Police attended to retrieve the property and return it to the owners. St. Thomas Police were called to a downtown grocery store for a theft. Staff from the store recognized the suspect and provided evidence to support charges. As a result, a 35-year-old St. Thomas resident is charged and currently wanted for theft under 5000$. ST25012567
Warrant Arrest
St. Thomas Police were advised by LPS, they had an 18-year-old individual, wanted by STPS for numerous outstanding charges involving firearms, threats, and Failing to Comply with Sentence. As a result of the outstanding charges, there was an additional committal warrant. The individual was transported to Police Headquarters and held for a court appearance. Mischief and Criminal Harassment
St. Thomas Police attended a residence in the city’s south end for Criminal Harassment and Mischief incidents. The victim reported that an ex has been sending death threats dating back to February of 2024 through hundreds of messages. The victim added that the situation has been escalating, and there had been damage to vehicles parked in the driveway. As a result of the investigation and evidence, a 35-year-old St. Thomas resident has been charged and arrested for Uttering threats to cause Death or Bodily Harm, Criminal Harassment, and Mischief. Intimate Partner Violence
St. Thomas Police arrested a 23-year-old St. Thomas resident on outstanding charges. The individual was wanted in relation to an incident reported earlier in the week. The victim reported the individual was outside their residence yelling threats, and was on numerous conditions to not be there or to communicate with the victim. As a result, the individual was charged with 5 counts of Failure to Comply with Release Order, 1 count of Fail to Comply with Probation Order, and 1 count of Uttering Threats to cause death or bodily harm. Assault
St. Thomas Police were called by a Community Agency to investigate possible physical abuse of a child/children by a parent. After a thorough investigation conducted by the Criminal Investigations Branch, a 50-year-old St. Thomas resident has been charged and arrested for 4 counts of Assault, and 2 counts of Assault with a Weapon.
