Impaired Operation 

A 34 year old Quebec resident has been arrested after a traffic stop in the city, last night. Officers on community patrol observed a vehicle being driven in a concerning manner. A traffic stop was conducted. While speaking with the driver of the vehicle, officers were concerned the individual was impaired. A roadside screening device was administered with the driver registering a fail. The 34 year old Quebec resident was transported to police headquarters where they were charged with Operation while Impaired – Plus 80 after additional testing registered the drivers blood alcohol to be 190mg/100ml, more than twice the legal limit. The 34 year old was processed and released with a future court date. ST25012537

Warrant Arrest 

A 37 year old St. Thomas resident, wanted by our service for Theft under $5,000 has been arrested. Early this morning, officers were dealing with the individual on an unrelated matter when they became aware of the outstanding warrant stemming from an incident in April. The 37 year old was processed and released on an appearance notice. While on the same call for service, a second individual, also a 37 year old St. Thomas resident was arrested after officers were made aware of an outstanding warrant held by Oxford OPP. The individual was arrested, OPP notified and custody of the individual exchanged. ST25012545/12546

Theft

A 32 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested after being identified as the person responsible in a shoplifting incident that occurred Wednesday afternoon. Just before 1 p.m. police were called to a retail store on Talbot Street to investigate the report of a theft. Officers reviewed video of the incident and identified the individual as a 32 year old St. Thomas resident. Officers located the individual who was taken into custody and charged with Theft under $5,000 and Fail to Comply with Probation Order. The 32 year old was processed at STPS HQ and later released with a future court date. ST25012491
