Intimate Partner Violence
A 22 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested after officers were called to a disturbance just north of Talbot Street, on Thursday. Upon arrival, police learned an argument between a couple had escalated resulting in one of the individuals being sprayed with mace. As a result, the 22 year old was charged with Assault with a Weapon, Assault and Failure to Comply with Probation Order. The individual was transported to police headquarters where they were processed to attend court and were remanded into custody. The victim was treated by EMS for minor injuries. ST24020737
Warrant Arrests
A 41 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Thursday November 14th 2024, officers on community patrol located the individual at an address on Wellington Street. The 41 year old had been charged with one count of Assault with a Weapon and Uttering Threats after an incident on November 5th. The individual was transported to police headquarters where they were processed, attended court and were released by the courts. ST24020748
A 39 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Thursday November 14th 2024, officers were dealing with the individual on an unrelated matter when they became aware of an outstanding warrant with our service for Failure to Comply with Release Order. A 39 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Thursday November 14th 2024, police were called to a retail store on Talbot Street for the report of an unwanted person. Upon arrival, officers located the 39 year old who was known to them to be wanted on an outstanding warrant with our service for Mischief, stemming from an incident in October. The individual was transported to police headquarters where they were processed and released on an undertaking with a future court date. ST24020756
A 29 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Thursday November 14th 2024, officers on community patrol located the individual known to them to be wanted on an outstanding warrant with our service for one count of Indecent Acts, stemming from an incident in May. Theft
St. Thomas police are currently investigating a shoplifting incident. On Thursday November 14th 2024, officers were called to a Talbot Street retail store to investigate the report of an unknown person attending the store and stealing a pair of shoes. Video surveillance of the incident is being reviewed as police continue to investigate. ST24020754
Personation/Forged Documents
A 31 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested after police were called to a financial institute on Thursday afternoon. Officers were called to the location to investigate the report of suspicious activity. Through investigation, officers learned the 31 year old was attempting to open a bank account with personal identification that wasn’t lawfully issued in their name. The individual was arrested and charged with Personation with Intent and Use, Deals, Acts on Forged Documents. They were transported to police headquarters where they were processed and held for a morning court appearance. ST24020755
RIDE
