Criminal Harassment

St. Thomas Police charge a 49-year-old, with Criminal Harassment. The involved parties had been friend for years, but had a falling out. The victim in the matter reported unwanted communication back in August, where the accused in the matter was warned regarding Harassing communication, and told to cease all contact. The victim then reported increasing amounts of messages from the accused, with family members, and on social media. Subsequently a warrant package was submitted for the accused, who resides out of town. ST24014677, ST24018453.

Theft

St. Thomas Police attended a downtown financial institution for a theft from a vehicle. The victim attended the bank, while inside, tools were stolen from the bed of the victim’s truck. Police canvassed the area for video.  ST24018244.

Break and Enter

St. Thomas Police are investigating a break and enter into a construction site in the city’s south end. The victim reports around 5:10 pm a suspect was captured on camera inside the construction site, cutting wires, and leaving with property. The incident is still under investigation. ST24018473.

Stolen Motor Vehicle

St. Thomas Police are contacted after a local resident reported last seeing their motor vehicle in August of this year. A 2009 blue Honda Civic was being loaned to a few local persons of interest, is now reported as stolen, since it hasn’t been returned. Incident is still under investigation. ST24018495.

Mischief

St. Thomas Police investigated a report of Graffiti to the rear of the old Balaclava Street school. Video was obtained, but unable to assist with the identification of the suspect. The investigation is closed pending further information. ST24018519.

Recovered Stolen Vehicle

St. Thomas Police traffic management unit was on patrol, when it came across a previously reported stolen motor vehicle in the city’s south end. The vehicle was reported stolen earlier in the month. The registered owner was notified, and when the vehicle was picked up, there was property located in the vehicle, presumed to be left behind by suspect/s. Property was seized for ident purposes. Mischief

St. Thomas Police attended a downtown establishment for a report of property damage. Suspect had glued the back door to the business closed, using a construction grade spray foam. Video is being reviewed, and the incident is still under investigation. ST24018566.

Intimate Partner Violence

St. Thomas Police arrest a 45-year-old St. Thomas resident for spousal assault, after a bystander called in a domestic incident. The caller reported the incident was taking place inside a motor vehicle. The victim reported that when attempting to end the relationship, the involved party slammed the victim into the door, and attempted to force the victim out of the vehicle while it was moving. The individual was arrested and additionally charged for breaching a court order from July of this year, placing the accused on conditions related to the victim. Police transported the individual to Headquarters for processing, and was held for a court appearance. ST24018575.

Warrants

St. Thomas Police, while on an unrelated call, arrested a 29-year-old local resident that was wanted on multiple warrants from incidents: ST23019123, ST23020836, ST24013771, & ST24003283. The individual was transported to Police Headquarters, processed and held for a court appearance. ST24018594.
