Mischief
The tire of a vehicle parked in the laneway of a home on the southside of the city has been slashed. On Thursday March 28th 2024, the vehicle owner contacted police to report the damage occurred sometime in the overnight hours. This remains under investigation. ST24004846
The hood of a car parked in a parking lot on the southside of the city has been reported damaged. On Thursday March 28th 2024, the vehicle owner contacted police to report the damage occurred sometime in the overnight hours. Damage to the vehicle is estimated at $1,500. Police are reviewing available video surveillance as they continue to investigate. ST24004864
Theft
An Amazon package containing tools and electronics has been reported stolen. On Thursday March 28th 2024, police were contacted in regards to the theft that occurred from an address on the northside of the city between the hours of 6:30 p.m. and midnight. Fraud
A local resident is out approximately $1,500 after falling victim to a bitcoin scam. On Thursday March 28th 2024, the victim contacted police to report that they had been working for a company reviewing movies and posting online reviews. Through the course of several communications with the company, the victim followed instructions on how to invest in the company and ultimately transferred $1,500 in bitcoin. This remains under investigation. ST24004857
Warrant Arrest
A 32 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Thursday March 28th 2024, OPP Middlesex contacted STPS to advise that they had the individual in custody on the strength of our warrant for an Impaired Operation charge dating back to 2022. St. Thomas police attended and transported the individual to STPS headquarters where they were processed and released on an appearance notice. ST24004861
A 33 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Thursday March 28th 2024, officers on community patrol located the individual known to them to be wanted on an outstanding warrant with our service for Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and Drive Motor Vehicle – no license, stemming from an incident in February of 2023. The 33 year old was arrested and transported to police headquarters where they were processed and released to London Police to answer to their outstanding charges. ST24004889
