St. Thomas, ON – Friday March 29th 2024
An arson investigation that began at the end of February has concluded with the arrest of a 27 year old St. Thomas resident.
On February 29th 2024, STPS were contacted by St. Thomas Fire to investigate a fire they believed to be intentionally set.
In the days following the original call, St. Thomas Fire and STPS responded to numerous fires around the CN railyard on Flora Street and the surrounding area.
A collaborative investigation by STPS’ Criminal Investigation Branch, Street Crime Unit and Property Crime Unit has concluded in the arrest of 27 year old, Brett Corkum.
On Thursday March 28th 2024, STPS’ K9 unit located and arrested Corkum.
Corkum, charged with 3 counts of Arson was transported to police headquarters, processed and released on an undertaking with a future court date.
