Arrested

A 30 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Wednesday October 25th 2023, St. Thomas police attended EMDC to arrest the individual on an outstanding warrant with our service for mischief, obstruct police and being intoxicated in a public place, stemming from an incident in September 2023. The St. Thomas resident was transported to police headquarters where they were processed and held for morning court. ST23018892

A 35 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Wednesday October 25th 2023, St. Thomas police attended EMDC to arrest the individual on an outstanding warrant with our service for possession of a controlled substance and unlawfully in a dwelling stemming from an incident in June of 2022. The St. Thomas resident was processed on the charges and remains in custody at EMDC.

A 43 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested. On Wednesday October 25th 2023, St. Thomas police were called to a grocery store on Talbot Street to investigate a shoplifting incident. Upon arrival, police located the suspect known to them to be wanted on outstanding warrants with our service for assault with a weapon, theft under $5,000, possession of break and enter instruments, break and enter and failure to comply with probation. The St. Thomas resident was transported to police headquarters to be processed on the charges and held for court. ST23018908

Assault 

A 71 year old St. Thomas resident has been charged. On Wednesday October 25th 2023, St. Thomas police were called to investigate the report of an ongoing neighbour dispute that had led to one person being assaulted. Upon arrival and through investigation it was learned the accused had hit the victim with the door of their vehicle. No injuries were sustained by the victim. ST23018888

Fraud 

St. Thomas police are currently investigating a fraudulent incident where approximately $16,000 worth of truck tires were ordered and fulfilled by a local automotive shop, only to have a stop payments put in place after the tires had been delivered. This remains under investigation. ST23018862

Theft

St. Thomas police are currently investigating an incident where eight industrial batteries were stolen. It was reported that at approximately 6 a.m. on October 25th a dark coloured Jeep was seen leaving an area on Southwick Street at a high rate of speed. An employee arriving to work noticed the batteries missing, shortly after. This remains under investigation. ST23018848
