Attempted theft 

On Monday July 17th, 2023 St. Thomas police were flagged down by a concerned citizen in the area of White Street and Talbot Street. The individual reported damage to their motorcycle that had been parked in the area. Upon returning, there was significant damage to the handlebars. Further investigation revealed that the incident was captured on video surveillance and the footage showed multiple unidentified individuals attempting to drag the motorcycle by its handlebars and subsequently attempting to load it into the bed of a pickup truck. However, their efforts proved unsuccessful, and they left the motorcycle behind. This remains under investigation. ST23012680

Break and enter

A computer server valued at over $11,000 has been reported stolen. On Monday July 17th, St. Thomas police were called to investigate a break and enter that occurred at a business on Moore Street. Through investigation it was learned that sometime between July 15th and July 17th, an unknown person(s) broke into a secure storage unit on the property and removed the server. Police are reviewing available video surveillance and continue their investigation. ST23012686

Arrested

A 42 year old Woodstock resident has been arrested. On Monday July 17th, 2023 St. Thomas police were called to an address on Elm Street to investigate the report of a suspicious person on the property. Upon arrival, police located the 42 year old who was known to be wanted by our service on an outstanding warrant from 2022. The individual was arrested, processed and released on an appearance notice. ST23012713

A 64 year old St. Thomas resident has been arrested and charged with one count Trespass by Night after St. Thomas police were called  by a concerned citizen who reported an unknown individual walking up and down driveways in the court house area in the early morning hours of Tuesday July 18th, 2023. Police responded to the area and located the 64 year old who was arrested and transported to police headquarter where they were processed and held for court. ST23012727
