On the 4th day of February 2023 the St. Thomas Police Service attended a south end home under construction for a break and enter. Investigation revealed that someone forced open an exterior door and once inside removed a quantity of construction tools. On the 5th day of February 2023 just before 230 AM an alert officer located a vehicle driving in a careless manner. The vehicle was stopped and it was determined the driver a 22 year old Langton Ontario man had been consuming alcohol. The male was transported to Police Headquarters where he registered double the legal limit. The male was released on a future court date. ST23001924.
Then around 4 AM St. Thomas Police and Fire departments attended for a report of vehicle exploding on Park Avenue. Once on scene it was determined someone intentionally lit the car on fire. There was no injuries and the fire was extinguished. St. Thomas Police Service Criminal Investigation Branch is currently investigating this matter.
