A 12 year old St. Thomas youth has been charged after police were called to a southside address, Wednesday night. Just before 8 p.m. officers responded for a complaint of the youth assaulting a child. Through investigation, officers learned the 12 year old had physically assaulted a young child and threatened adults in the area.
As a result, the individual was charged under the Youth Criminal Justice Act with one count of Assault, Assault with a Weapon and Uttering Threats. The individual was arrested, transported to police headquarters, processed and released on an undertaking with a future court date.
