Warrant Arrest/Resist Arrest
A downtown establishment phoned police, when an individual was refusing the leave the restroom. Upon arrival, a 34-year-old St. Thomas resident was located. Information was received that the individual was wanted on multiple outstanding warrants, held by STPS and Sarnia PS. When officers went to arrest the individual, they attempted to run and resist being arrested. Officers took the accused into custody on the strength of the outstanding warrants, and for the additional charge of Resist Arrest. Warrant Arrests
A 36-year-old London resident was arrested on an outstanding STPS warrant for criminal harassment by LPS. Release documents were sent to LPS, with a future court date. ST26010039
A 40-year-old St. Thomas resident was arrested on an outstanding probation warrant. Officers on general patrol located the individual and placed them under arrest. The individual was transported to Police Headquarters for processing, and was held for a court appearance. ST26010054
Theft
Loss Prevention contacted Police regarding a theft. Three individuals attended a retail complex on the city’s east end, loading a cart of merchandise, and left without paying. The suspects were observed getting into a vehicle, and a license plate was obtained. St. Thomas Police are continuing with the investigation, and reviewing video of the incident. ST26010028
Break & Enter/Assault/Uttering Threats
St. Thomas Police respond to a 911 call regarding a male bleeding from the head, in a residential building in the city’s west end. A 55-year-old St. Thomas resident, overheard their partner getting advice from a neighbor regarding ongoing domestic incidents. The individual then broke into the neighboring unit, attacking the neighbor, causing injuries. Upon police arrival, the 55-year-old suspect had left. Police searched the area and located the accused. Officers arrested the accused for Assault, Uttering Threats, and Break and Enter. The accused was transported to Police Headquarters for processing and held for a court appearance. ST26010040
Mischief Investigation
While St. Thomas Police were on general patrol, two individuals, a 33-year-old and a 30-year-old were located sleeping on private property. Both were residents of St. Thomas; one was already trespassed from the property and was charged accordingly. Near-by damage was observed to a fence. Police are investigating the cause of the damage, and waiting for video. The incident is still under investigation. ST26010068
