Thefts/Breach of Probation
St. Thomas Police were called to the city’s west end for a theft. Staff reported that an individual that is not supposed to be in the store, entered, took merchandise, and left without paying. Video was observed, and suspect was identified. A 30-year-old St. Thomas resident was located a short distance away and arrested for Theft Under, and for Failing to Comply with a Probation Order. The individual was transported to Police Headquarters for processing, and held for a court appearance. ST26010081
St. Thomas Police were called to the city’s west end for a theft. Staff reported than an individual attended the store, selected various meat products and left the store without paying. A short time later, the individual returned to the store, selected 7 bags of wine, and proceeded to the exit. A staff member attempted to block the exit, but the individual shouldered the staff member and left without paying. A 30-year-old St. Thomas resident was identified, and charged with 2 counts of theft, and 2 counts of Failing to Comply with a Probation Order. A 33-year-old St. Thomas resident is currently wanted, after attending a retail complex in the city’s east end, selecting items, and leaving without paying. Police attended and reviewed video, confirming identity of the suspect. ST26010137
Mischief
Damage to a fence and landscaping were reported to Police. The suspect left in permanent marker a name, and email address. There is a history on file with an individual with the same name. The incident is still under investigation. ST26010112
Frauds
A St. Thomas resident is out 347.50$ after falling victim to an online investment scam. Additionally, the victim provided the fraudulent company with personal information. Steps were taken to advise the appropriate resources, such as Equifax and their financial institutions, after receiving a “fraud alert” on their accounts. ST26010115
A St. Thomas resident is out 352$ after falling victim to a fraudulent email request. The victim reported that they thought the email was from The London Music and Arts Festival. The victim realized it was a scam when the correct email was located. ST26010162
Intimate Partner Violence Breach
St. Thomas Police were called to a residential area in the city’s north end. The complainant reported receiving messages from and ex, that was on conditions to not communicate with them. A query of the number revealed, it was on file, registered to the accused. As a result of the investigation, a 36-year-old St. Thomas resident is charged with Failing to Comply with Probation Order, and is currently wanted. ST26010134
Warrant Arrests/CDSA
While on general patrol, St. Thomas Police located and arrested a 44-year-old St. Thomas resident that was wanted on outstanding charges by London Police Service. A search of the accused revealed a quantity of Crystal Methamphetamine, Cocaine, Fentanyl, and cash. The accused was additionally charged with 3 counts of Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the purpose of trafficking. The accused was transported to Police Headquarters for processing and held for a court appearance. LPS to be notified when released. ST26010160 ST26010161
St. Thomas Police attended a residential area in the city’s South side for a family dispute. Upon arrival the involved parties were calm and separated. One of the involved parties had an outstanding warrant for Possessing Property Obtained by Crime, with London Police Service. A 38-year-old St. Thomas resident was arrested and transported to Police Headquarters to wait for LPS. ST26010139
