Warrant Arrests

St. Thomas Police attended an address in London with members of the Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement team, to execute a warrant for a 21-year-old St. Thomas resident, for Intimidation of a justice system participant, and Uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm. The charges were in relation to a homicide investigation, and upcoming court date. The individual was arrested, transported to St. Thomas Police Headquarters for processing and held for a court appearance. ST25007656, ST25007547

St. Thomas Police at the Elgin County Courthouse arrested a 31-year-old St. Thomas resident. The individual attended the courthouse for an unrelated court matter, and was arrested on the strength of an outstanding warrant from an incident in April. The individual was processed at the courthouse, and released after a court appearance, with a future court date. ST25007645, ST25007100

St. Thomas Police staff from the Elgin County Courthouse executed an additional warrant on a 33-year-old St. Thomas resident, who was already in custody at EMDC on an unrelated matter. An additional court date was provided. ST25007651, ST25005480

St. Thomas Police, members of the Community Resource Unit, arrested a 34-year-old St. Thomas resident on the strength of a Probation Warrant. The individual was on court ordered probation, with conditions to report to the bail supervisor, failing to do so, resulted in a warrant. The individual was transported to Police Headquarters, and released with a future court date. ST25007643, RM25000048

Warrant Arrest/Drug Charges

Norfolk OPP contacted St. Thomas Police Service to advise they had a 30-year-old Port Dover resident in custody on the strength of a STPS warrant. The warrant was for failing to appear for court, for an incident from 2023, where they were facing charges of theft of a motor vehicle-over $5000, Fail to Comply, and Mischief x2. STPS attended to transport the individual back to St. Thomas. A search of the individual also revealed a quantity of a controlled substance, and the individual was additionally charged with possession of a Schedule I Substance, and was held for a court appearance. Thefts

St. Thomas Police attended an area in the city’s south east side for a theft. The complainant reported that while inside the business, their locked green mountain bike was stolen. Video of the incident captured and individual wearing dark clothing, cutting the lock, and stealing the bike. The incident is still under investigation. ST25007654

St. Thomas Police received an online report regarding a theft. A business located in the city’s north east end, reported about 60FT of (1in diameter) wire stolen, a value of approximately $1000. The incident is still under investigation. ST25007660

Mischief

St. Thomas Police were called to the downtown area for vandalized trees. Two individuals were captured on camera vandalizing the trees by pulling off the bark. The incident is still under investigation. ST25007649
