Two St. Thomas residents have been arrested following the execution of a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) search warrant at a Centre Street residence early Wednesday morning.
As part of an ongoing drug trafficking investigation, the St. Thomas Police Service’s Critical Incident Response Team (CIRT) and Street Crimes Unit (SCU) carried out the operation. One individual was arrested a short distance from the residence, and a second individual was taken into custody inside the home.
A search of the residence resulted in the seizure of various drug-related articles, as well as controlled substances, morphine, hydromorphone, and oxycodone.
As a result of the investigation:

50 year old, Beverly Kimber of St. Thomas has been charged with four counts of possession of a controlled Schedule I substance, two counts of failing to comply with a probation order, and one count of obstructing justice.

44 year old, Michael Edmonds of St. Thomas has been charged with four counts of possession of a controlled Schedule I substance and two counts of failing to comply with a probation order.
Both were transported to police headquarters, processed and released with future court dates.
