Intimate Partner Violence

St. Thomas Police were flagged down by an individual walking in a south side residential area. Police attended the location of the incident and spoke to the other involved party. The story did not align with what was initially reported. Observations of physical injuries, did not coincide with the story provided upon being flagged down. Police determined the aggressor to be the original complainant. As a result, a 49-year-old St. Thomas resident was charged with Spousal Assault, and arrested a short time later during a traffic stop. The individual was transported to Police Headquarters for processing, and released with a future court date. ST25005586, ST25005612
