Assault

On Saturday December 28, 2024 Officers attended a residence in the city’s northwest for reports of an ongoing noise/neighbour dispute that had turned physical.  One of the neighbours had approached the other in efforts to cease the behaviours, and upon doing so, was allegedly spit on.  As a result, a 30yr old male resident was taken into custody and charged with one count of assault.  The male was later released from custody on an Undertaking with conditions and will appear in court in the new year. Tools taken from front Porch

A Scott Street resident contacted police late Saturday evening reporting a theft from their front porch.  The resident there had been doing renovations on the residence and had left a Mitre saw unattended on the front porch for a brief period of time.  When they returned to it, the saw had been taken.  Stolen was a blue Mastercraft platform Mitre saw.  There are no suspects at this time, however, police are canvassing neighbours for potential video of the suspect(s).  ST24023304
