We are investigating a theft from the backyard of a south end residence. Sometime during the early morning hours, suspects entered a backyard and stole two barbecue propane tanks and a power shovel. This incident remains under investigation. Ref# ST25008048
A student from a local high school had their bicycle stolen from the school bike racks overnight. Stolen is a red GT Avalanche bicycle with white lettering, disc brakes, trigger shifters and quick release wheels. Surveillance video shows an individual using a grinder to cut the lock off of the bicycle. Ref# ST25008051
We arrested a 29-year-old London resident on the strength of an arrest warrant for uttering threats to cause death. This person was fingerprinted and later released by police with a future court date and conditions to abide by. Ref# ST25008056
We attended a retail store located at the 1063 Talbot business park regarding a shoplifter. Through investigation, we arrested and charged a 40-year-old St. Thomas resident with theft not exceeding $5000 as well as entry while prohibited contrary to the Trespass to Property Act. This individual was later released by police with a court date and conditions. Ref# ST25008085
Damage was caused to an air conditioning unit overnight at the CASO Station located at 750 Talbot Street. We are reviewing video of the incident and this remains under investigation. Ref# ST25008091
We attended a residence in the south end of the city regarding a family disturbance. As a result of the investigation we have charged a 32-year-old St. Thomas resident with assault and mischief. A warrant is being sought for this individuals arrest. Ref# ST25008097

In an ongoing effort to help protect the residents of St. Thomas from falling victim to online scams and fraud, the St. Thomas Police Service would like to remind the community on ways to protect yourself and things to consider while online:
- Always get a second opinion from family or friends regarding the situation
- No employer will reach out to you through apps like Whats App or Telegram
- No employer will ever pay you in crypto currency
- No employer will ask you to invest your own money
- Use the Canadian Anti- Fraud Centre as a resource to familiarize yourself with current scams and additional ways to protect yourself
