An unknown female suspect entered a restaurant on Wellington Street and stole the Chase brand debit machine from inside of the store. This item will cost the restaurant $700 to replace. This is currently under investigation. Ref#ST23016881.

On 02Sept/23 a sixteen foot, 2018 white American Motors trailer was stolen from a construction site in the south end of the city. This trailer was recovered by police last night with property still inside it. Investigation continuing…Ref#ST23015785.

Police responded to a suspicious person near a residence on Balaclava Street. St. Thomas Police officers attended the area and located a 34-year-old St. Thomas resident who was breaching two conditions of his court release order. This person was arrested, charged and brought to the police station where they were held in custody for a court appearance.

St. Thomas Police officers attended a storage facility near the north end of the city regarding a heads up citizen observing suspects in the facility compound. Upon arrival officers located two persons within the compound. One person gave a false name to police and was presently wanted on an arrest warrant. Therefore this 28-year-old St. Thomas resident was subsequently charged with obstructing a peace officer. This person was released by police with a future court date. The other person on site was lawfully able to be at the storage facility.
