We conducted a R.I.D.E. spot check where 850 drivers were checked for sobriety. Two road-side breath tests were conducted resulting in one driver receiving a 3-day suspension. Ref#ST25013607

We arrested and charged a 37-year-old St. Thomas resident for shoplifting at a retail store located at the 1063 Talbot Street business park. This individual was released by police with a future court date and conditions. Ref# ST25013615

We arrested a 39-year-old St. Thomas resident on the strength of an arrest warrant for shoplifting. This individual was later released by police with a future court date and conditions. Ref#ST25013617

Suspects attended a residence near the core of the city, entered an unlocked vehicle and stole three dental devices valued at approximately $300. We are retrieving video to further our investigation. Ref#ST25013641

We attended an address on Confederation Drive after a concerned citizen notified us of a physical altercation between two individuals on a front lawn. We arrested and charged a 32, and 28-year-old with one count of assault each. Both individuals were later released by police with conditions and a future court date. Both parties declined any EMS assistance. Ref#ST25013685/ST25013691

We arrested a 22-year-old London resident on the strength of a London Police arrest warrant for impaired driving. This individual was released by police with conditions and a future court date. Ref#ST25013696

We attended a north end address regarding a disturbance inside the residence. Through further investigation, a warrant is being sought for a 27-year-old St. Thomas resident for breaching a condition of their court release order by being within 25 metres of that address. Protecting yourself from fraud

In an ongoing effort to help protect the residents of St. Thomas from falling victim to online scams and fraud, the St. Thomas Police Service would like to remind the community on ways to protect yourself and things to consider while online:

  • Always get a second opinion from family or friends regarding the situation
  • No employer will reach out to you through apps like Whats App or Telegram
  • No employer will ever pay you in crypto currency
  • No employer will ask you to invest your own money
  • Use the Canadian Anti- Fraud Centre as a resource to familiarize yourself with current scams and additional ways to protect yourself
