We attended a residence in the north end of the city regarding a disturbance in progress. As a result, our officers arrested and charged a 35-year-old St. Thomas resident with domestic related charges of assault with a weapon and mischief to property. Our officers were alerted by concerned citizens of an individual who may need assistance due to illicit drug use. We identified the person and called for an ambulance for assistance. The individual was wanted on an arrest warrant therefore they were arrested and then taken to hospital for medical assistance. A search of the person during the arrest found the accused to have a quantity of fentanyl and was therefore charged with possession of a controlled substance. The fentanyl has a street value of $6300. We released the accused at the hospital with a future court date. Ref#ST25005911

We attended a retail store at the south end of the city regarding an unwanted person. Our officers arrived and arrested and charged an individual with two counts of shoplifting as well as resisting arrest. This individual has been recommended to enter into a diversionary program. Ref# ST25005958

Our officers attended a residence in the early morning hours regarding a disturbance in an apartment building. A resident of the building was yelling and acting irate while throwing property from the unit into the hallway. We attempted to calm the individual and have them stay in their unit, but due to their highly intoxicated state, they would not. This individual was eventually arrested for being intoxicated in a public place and brought to the police station. The person was released in the morning when sober and issued a ticket for being intoxicated in a public place. Ref# ST25005962
